I stayed at Middle Eight for the first time-but it definitely won’t be the last! The location is perfect whether you want to explore on foot or hop on the underground (Holborn station is just 2 minutes away, and Covent Garden a mere 6 minute walk); there are tons of great restaurants nearby but it still feels quiet and less crowded than Covent Garden or Soho, my room was spacious and cosy and the bed was incredibly comfortable. But what really made this a five star experience for me was the Middle Eight staff. From the moment I walked in and was welcomed by Saq at reception, I felt pampered but not in a pushy way. Everybody from the reception staff to the concierge to the restaurant and bar staff was incredibly attentive, kind and efficient. So if you’re looking for a centrally located hotel where the staff will do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible, this is the one!

We couldn't have been more pleased with our recent stay at Middle Eight. The location is superb, right between Holborn and Covent Garden with easy access to great pubs, restaurants, bakeries, and theatres. Our room was on the smaller side, as to be expected in central London, but well appointed, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and substantive, including fresh juices, a nice fruit selection and hot dishes cooked to order including a Full English. The gym is small but well equipped with barbells, KBs, even a hex bar. A highlight was the friendly and accommodating staff. Sebastian at the concierge desk went above and beyond to design a perfect itinerary of activities for our 6 year old daughter. She absolutely adored him as well as the hotel overall; she has been asking when we can go back and stay there. I plan to stay there again on future trips to London both for business and family holidays.

First time in the UK and was splitting 10 days between London and Liverpool; key because Middle Eight said they could accommodate this & so glad they did! The location, Great; the service from entering the front door, Excellent! From the front desk, the porters, the bar all genuinely pleasant; but I must call out Sebastian the concierge! I cannot say enough about his tips and extra steps to secure reservations, just going above & beyond expectations and making our trip even more memorable. Of Course, I only hate writing this as it will now make it harder to get in but it will always be my London stop!

From the moment we walked through the door, the experience felt exceptional. We were warmly greeted by Saq, who immediately made us feel welcome, upgraded our room, and offered us bubbles and soft drinks. That first interaction set the tone for the entire stay and made it instantly clear we were somewhere special. Saq was outstanding throughout and genuinely the highlight of our experience — professional, friendly, and effortlessly attentive. The room itself was excellent: spacious, modern, and very well designed, with a bed that was incredibly comfortable. Everything felt polished and thoughtfully put together, exactly what you’d expect from a top-tier hotel. The location couldn’t be better either, with Covent Garden just a short five-minute walk away and easy access on foot to Leicester Square, Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square, and even Westminster. It made exploring the city effortless. I’ll definitely be staying here again, and next time I’ll be making a point of spending time in the restaurant and bar as well. An outstanding stay from start to finish.

Our first stay in Middle Eight. Based in a central location perfect for exploring London and near to all the theatres. We received a warm welcome with a complimentary drink. Our room was lovely really clean and with a fridge with free soft drinks and milk for a cuppa! The breakfast was delicious a great selection of cereals, fruits, pastries, and any cooked breakfast you wanted. It poured with rain whilst we were there and the hotel had umbrellas we could borrow to go for a walk around Covent Garden . It was nice to return for a hot drink and sit in the quiet / library area upstairs. Although slightly expensive I would definitely recommend, the staff were really friendly and very helpful and I would love to return again. Lovely place to stay.

This is my first time staying at the Middle Eight in London but it certainly won’t be the last. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. The view from the room was beautiful. However what really made the stay was Saq. Upon arrival Saq greeted me warmly and was exceptionally accommodating. He helped rectify two separate bookings under my name so I would not be inconvenienced in the slightest with efficiency. He provided excellent food and coffee recommendations; my friend and I went to the burger place across the way upon his suggestion and had a wonderful meal. Ive never felt so welcome at a hotel, and i’ve stayed at a lot of them. There are likely thousands of hotels in London, but only the Middle Eight has Saq, and because of him i’ll be back.

We recently stayed for 2 nights, and this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in London. It is in a good location for many of the attractions, shops and theatres - and a short walk to Holborn Tube Station. The staff were very welcoming on check-in and a free glass of Processco was a nice gesture. The room was a decent size, clean and well maintained. The price was a little on the expensive side, but Ok for a special treat. We’d certainly recommend it, and will stay here ourselves in future if we can book for a reasonable price.

We stayed at Middle Eight as a group of friends traveling together and were warmly welcomed by genuinely friendly staff, complete with a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival. Unfortunately, one of us had lost a backpack on the train into the city, which meant we couldn’t fully relax at first. The concierge immediately picked up on the situation and proactively gathered all the necessary information on how to contact and report the loss to the train company. Thanks to their help, the bag was recovered the very next day — an exceptional level of service that truly stood out. The hotel itself is of a high standard. Complimentary water, soft drinks, and similar amenities were provided in the room, something that has become surprisingly rare these days. The rooms were clean, well-kept, and comfortable. The location is excellent — right in the heart of Covent Garden, with everything you could possibly need just steps away. A special thank you to Eduardo and the rest of the concierge team, who were consistently helpful with taxis, luggage, and anything else we needed throughout our stay. If I were to note one minor drawback, it would be the bar. It appeared there may have been staff training underway, but it was still a bit uncomfortable to watch someone struggle to open a bottle of wine. Overall, this was a very positive experience, and I would definitely return.
